disassembly solid object
Hi everyone. I have a trouble. I make some object and i need separate them to 4 objects. How i can сut it in free plane(not x,y,z)? Via making plane on edges i get a section, but i not understand what i must do with section for separation a object. One way is a make big solid object and via boolean operation get 1 part of needed object, but in this case operations must be repeated 4 times. Please help me find another way.
Re: disassembly solid object
I think, there is no other way available in actual FreeCAD.audiserg wrote:One way is a make big solid object and via boolean operation get 1 part of needed object, but in this case operations must be repeated 4 times. Please help me find another way.

Like Ulrich said, there is no specific tool to cut a solid into piece that are them selves solids. A Draft Down Grade will split a solid into its components i.e. explode a solid into a set of faces. Or you can make cubes and use a Boolean common. A Draft clone of various parts in the model history could in some circumstances be useful e. But this depends to on how the file was created. Are we talking about something modelled in FreeCAD or an imported non-parametric solid from a STEP file, etc.?
If you post your Help about FreeCAD data and a demonstration fcstd file, then one of us might be able to think of something specific to your example.
