Multiple drawing pages, making one active
I added multiple pages using the drawing toolbox (toolbar button add A4 page). Now how can I make either the 'active page'? When I add elements to the page they always end up on the first one, nothing will go to the seccond page. I believe this is because the second one is not 'active'. But how to set it active?
Hope there is somebody to the rescue!
Thanks,
Bibi.

Re: Multiple drawing pages, making one active
I'm sure there was an existing topic about this but I can't find it.
Views always seem to be added to the first page, and I haven't found a way to make the second page active. But you can drag and drop the views to the second page.
In the development snapshot the pages update automatically, in the current 0.14.370x release you need to force a recompute by changing one of the views parameters or using the Macro ForceRecompute.

Re: Multiple drawing pages, making one active
For most of the drawing commands to work on a specific page, instead of the first one, you just need to have the correct page selected when running the command.
Re: Multiple drawing pages, making one active
I can't believe it was so simple. So, not only select the object to project on a page, but the page itself as well.
But! It does not work in v0.14.370x, only in the 0.15.4xxx development snapshot.
Thanks Yorik! This shows that no matter how much you think you know about FreeCAD, there's always something you don't!

Thanks!
Just drag and drop, from one page to another works.
Select the destination page as well as the source object (using ctrl-click in the model view) is another way.
Tested in 0.15 on Mac and Windows

Re: Multiple drawing pages, making one active
I have been struggling with this one too..
Here is the solution:
in the file tree, select both the object and the destination page you want to use. Then create the drawing the usual way (e.g. using projection).
Hope this helps, Francois

François, your reply is useless because your "solution" was already given in prior replies.francois14 wrote:Here is the solution:

What is this Necrobumping in this thread? Some kind of spam, which I cannot see?
