Ship Workbench Aligned to Guidelines

Post by agryson »

So after all those sketcher icons, I thought I'd try a nice small workbench.

Palm, meet face.

I broke one of my own rules here. The Ship workbench relies heavily on using text, but there was no physical way I could fulfil the following two requirements:
  • Minimise changes to icon geometry in Project Align beyond simple alignment
  • Ensure sufficient value contrast as per guidelines.
Between a rock and a hard place, I opted for some of these icons to change geometry (I removed the 'FreeCAD Ship' text since I couldn't ensure a clear outline with 7 letters on one line) :(

Nonetheless, I think it came out well. 16,24,32 and 64px old on left, new on right, on light, gray and dark backgrounds.

Thanks! And in related news, with today's merge of the Sketcher icons, "Project Align" is now at 70% completion!

Nice, getting some use out of Github's new Projects features, I see.

Yeah, though I had assumed I could move cards with a tag change or vice versa like in gitlab but no joy. Hoping they'll improve it over time.
