If we set the factor back to 1 then Qt will calculate the page size (among other things) incorrectly and your 200 mm bar will go back to being 203.2 mm( http://www.forum.freecadweb.org/viewtop ... 35&t=21597 ). I thought it is possible to scale single views and not the complete document.

The single views are scaled up by X before they are added to the drawing. If this isn't done, the view is rendered in 1/X scale on the page and you'll get tiny views on a regular size page.
