I am unable to run FreeCAD after updating to the latest version yesterday. I click on the FreeCAD icon and nothing happens.
The current version installed is 0.16.99+git201612222.1045-3.1, and doesn't work.
The last version that worked was 0.16.99+git201612221.1739-2.1
The OS is OpenSUSE Leap 42.2 64-bit running GNOME 3.20.2.
Any help would be appreciated.
Merry Christmas to everyone!

Re: FreeCAD will not launch after installing last update
It is because FreeCAD got built against Qt5 but old Shiboken and Pivy.
I am on it ...

Re: FreeCAD will not launch after installing last update
When linking the latest master version against Qt5 it now links against PySide2 and Shiboken2. However, at this point the migration to Qt5/PySide2 is not accomplished since all the Python modules still use the old PySide. So, at this point I consider the Qt5 linking as experimental.
