Hi Drei
could you provide a link to your report or tell us what you said to whom? :)

The new owners of SF sound like they want to run a quality operation, so I would not be surprised if they at least investigate the matter.

Hi jmaustpc,
All I did was submit a ticket to sourceforge.
At the footer of the page, I clicked Request Support
Then I filled out the section Report abuse and explained the situation.

I was not given a ticket number, but because I have an account there, I will be notified if there is a reply from the author or from SF.

I will keep everyone updated on this.

Regards

I just read this on the #freecad weblog http://freecadlog.archivist.info/

buovjaga: I promoted 0.16 rel a bit on Reddit and HN
plaes : saw it at HN :)
buovjaga: plaes: pretty good reception, eh? :)
buovjaga: everyone is just throwing flowers into the air
Unfortunately this buovjaga didn't deem useful to provide links.

I had to search to learn what HN refered to. It's Hacker News.

Hacker News: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=11533435

According to the first comment, the Clara.io website uses FreeCAD and Open CasCade to handle CAD data import/export.

There's an interesting talk about OCC... Not at all flattering ;)

It's a pity that his github says:
Experimental module for FreeCAD 0.14. It is not reliable, you have to check parts before doing the laser cut, don't trust it !
Would be nice if it was for 0.16 > ...

Why the heck did the guy write a module for a 3-year old FreeCAD version!?! :?

Only sane explanation is that he did it 3 years ago and only now made it public.
