Introducing FreeCAD at the next OSHW summit ?

Post by vejmarie »

Hi,

I am attending this event since last year, and found there a nice community of hackers using tools like FreeCAD. I was wondering if everybody will agree if I submitted a talk about FreeCAD, and my ongoing work within the OCP toolchain to facilitate collaboration within Open Hardware community ? If some of you want to join me for the talk feel free to ping me.

Of course, go ahead! Everybody is a FreeCAD spokesman. I hope your talk will be accepted and recorded so we can watch afterwards!

Will try to suggest them to bootstrap an event in Europe for sure ! I am travelling too much, and our continent is a nice place to be.

Good luck with this, I was reading into some of the stuff you're working on. The passive cooled outdoor computing stuff (RuggedPOD) looks awesome! Professionally I am interested in the "marriage" of computer science and agricultural engineering and I think some tech like that could be the priest  Slap one of those in an autonomous open source tractor with an attendant fleet of open source ag drones, oh boy...
