Re: Bugtracker recent changes

The whole Arch subproject has also disappeared with apparently all its issues.
We should urgently resore a backup. Since people are still adding to the tracker, I've set it offline now.
Kurt, do you have a backup available?

Yes, I have one from a couple of weeks ago. I will go about restoring from it ASAP.

Sorry for the lack of updates on this--I had a chance to look into manual restoration of the issues over the weekend. It turns out MantisBT has both CSV/XML export and import of issues, but the CSV import doesn't work with Mantis 2.x, and the XML import relies on a PHP XML module being present, which is apparently not the case on the shared host.

The tracker is up again.

I restored from the last backup, done 3/29. I took another backup before restoring so that there'd be a snapshot of the issues added since, but because the event happened on Apr 17 there's possibly some stuff that was never backed up between 3/30 and 4/17.

Two weeks from now and I'll be done with finals which should give me some time to make a more permanent weekly/monthly backup system using cron on the project servers, and hopefully the pain of this issue will never have to be felt again.

The backup I grabbed today of the tracker is live in my staging environment and can be browsed (for the time being) if anyone wants to see stuff in the 3/29-4/25 window:

Should this be stated on the mantis website, so reporters can look up what is missing and report again.
