How to edit translation (xyz) data

I'm a newbie, as my question will show.

I want to move my object (that I sketched and padded) to another location in space. The "position" data in "Properties" seems to be locked. When I try to edit the xyz position all I get is a different view of the part.

What can't I change/edit the position data?

If you have multiple levels in your history in PartDesign WB, the orientation and position for all of the solid you are modelling comes from the first sketch in your history.
