non-uniformly scaled ViewportRegions

Post by shoogen »

I wanted to use FreeCAD in a dual head setup with my TV screen.
My Laptop computer would show the main window. The TV would show a undocked 3D View in Fullscreen mode.
I had find out that it not easily possible to use the HDMI Frame packing modes (which were designed for Bluray playback) from a computer. This means that I'm limited to the side-by-side or bottom-and-top mode of my TV set.
I had to learn that unlike the original VCG, coin has no built-in support for side by side stereo. My next idea was to have a look at RiftWidget, since it has to do something similar.
But looking at the documentation of http://oivdoc90.vsg3d.com/APIS/RefManCp ... egion.html i don't find any hints how to accomplish the non-uniform scaling, that i need to so.
Does anyone have an idea how to create a side-by-side stereo view?
