TechDraw January Upgrade

Post by wandererfan »

The latest version of TechDraw should be available in the next day or two. It incorporates some major changes both internally and externally. Some highlights:

Geometric Hatching - this will interest those that produce traditional mechanical drawings. It uses OCC to produce the pattern and the patterns are (semi) compatible with AutoCad PAT files.

High Resolution - the resolution of drawings has been increased, in some cases as much as 10x. This will impact users of DrawViewImage, providing much higher quality results.

It will also affect users of DrawViewDraft and DrawViewArch. The higher resolution will mean that scales and perhaps positions will need to be modified. Existing drawings may need views repositioned.

Arrowhead styles - it is now possible to specify an arrowhead style for Dimensions.

As always, there will be bugs, so please report any you find.

Thanks,

What does hi resolution does? is this screen resolution or print resolution? Since print resolution is typically 300+/600+

Neither, actually. It's the internal resolution of the QGraphicsScene ("scene units").
