Hold snap locations in Draft

Post by yorik »

With git commit aa086c1dd there is now a new little feature in Draft snapping.

When drawing with Draft or Arch (snapping), it is now possible to press the Q key to record points. Additional snap locations then become available orthogonally to these hold points and, if there is more than one hold point, at the crossings of their orthogonal lines. Also, shift works together with this too.

There is no specific snap button to be activated, this feature becomes available automatically when you have at least one hold point.

At the moment this only works in the current Draft working plane (only in its X and Y directions).

It's hard to explain the possibilities here with text or images, I guess you'll have to try for yourself :)

Enjoy!
