Draft Clone

Draft Clone

This was there since a long time but there was no GUI tool for it, now I added it to the Draft workbench.
The tool clones a selected object, by copying its shape. It has a separate placement, so you can move and rotate it around. But its shape is bound to the original object's shape, so if you modify the base one, the clone is modified too.
Hope you'll like the icon ;)

Cool tool and icon Yorik!

I didn't "get it" until I viewed the svg from the source code, scaled up. :D

Edit: - I should point out that the example below has the first box cloned, a new position, and then a scale factor in the X axis and a different scale factor for the Y axis.

Ah yes i had forgotten this... the clone can have different X,Y and Z scale values

Awesome feature and awesome icon Yorik!!! :D

It seems to works very well with PartDesign objects, so it may prove very useful until the Assembly module allows for multiple instances of a single part. Change something in the original shape, and the clone automatically updates... nice!!!
