Windows 0.17 Daily Build

Where can I find 0.17 daily build for windows? A friend wants me to teach him on a laptop running Windows (which version I don't know yet). I followed the links but got a 404 response. I might dual boot his laptop with Ubuntu because that is what I'm running.

On the FreeCAD files page.

• Make sure to choose the correct Archive to download (32 or 64 bit)
• the archive is a packed 7z-archive so make sure 7 Zip ist installed or download it as portable version. Windows internal Zip won't do ...
• since the windows computer might not have seen a FreeCAD Installation before, make sure to install "Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013"
• maybe you have some extra preferences set (Navigation styles ..) either copy user.cfg and system.cfg from your FreeCAD-directory to
  his (usually c:\Your_windows_Login_user_name\appdata\roaming\FreeCAD - CAREFUL, it's a hidden directory)

Good day,
I do not see a daily build for 0.17 on this page, the latest seems to be from Dec 16th,
FreeCAD_0.17.13387_x64_dev_win.7z
Am I missing anything ?
From my scouring of the wiki and forum, it seems that only the Ubuntu package has a day build right now?
Also for development & compile, what OS would you recommend.
My uninformed research is leaning toward Ubuntu...

I'm by no mean a CAD professional, but learned a few years ago with Inventor on a student license. Said license expired and when I looked for option to maybe get an official full license, i discovered that they switched to perpetual renting model which disgust me... Anyway long story short I'd like to invest in FreeCAD as the current result is already really impressive and I see a few improvements that could be cool to try (auto segment center constraint being one, i love that feature instead of constantly adding a symmetry constraint)...

I searched some, maybe not enough but. I am using 17.126 and just downloaded
FreeCAD_0.17.13452_x64_dev_win.7z
unpack OK with 7Z
and I get an error at run time
FreeCadGui.dll is not on my computer. I unpacked twice.

What's up doc?

I have exactly the same Windows 7 64-bit, and the downloaded file works just fine.There are some MS dlls that are needed for all versions, but these are already on your system if you are able to run 0.17.12643.

Why are you looking for FreeCadGui.dll? It should be in the bin folder, but you don't need to touch it to start FreeCAD. If it is not there then the download and unpack did not work correctly.

That's the error I get when I click on the shortcut. I must have messed up, the shortcut isn't a valid shortcut. It works now.
