Re: Can't apply fillet on basic rectangular pad
Thanks a lot. These answers clear up a lot. Willem, that trick with the space bar to recover from an issue is REALLY helpful. Thank you.

Re: Can't apply fillet on basic rectangular pad
Thanks a lot for the replies. I looked at your mini-tutorial, and yes I have watched the Basic Part Design tutorial and many of the other learning materials. Here are two followup questions: 1. You mention that I should not fork by mapping both Sketch 001 and 002 to the same face. If I don't mirror ...

Can't apply fillet on basic rectangular pad
I really like FreeCad, but I struggle with errors and corrupted drawings. Here is an example of a simple drawing that will not allow me to add a fillet on the base pad. Why won't the fillet work here? Basic Fillet.jpg . My file is attached. I'm using the PartDesign workbench. I am using FreeCAD vers...

Thanks. That link works.
Just so you know, the link on the official download page is still broken.

Can't download Mac version
When I click on the Official Installer for Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks 64-bit, I get a 404 missing page error. Is the link corrupted?

Mac unidentified developer
Why isn't the Mac installation of FreeCad signed by an identified developer? Is it possible to get this fixed? When I install FreeCad on a Mac, I get a message saying it can't be loaded because it is an "unidentified developer". I know how to get around this, but I want to install this for...

Re: Can't figure out placement
Thanks a lot. I seem to be able to position my sketches correctly using constraints now. I feel like I tried this before and it wouldn't let me select the origin, but it is working now easily. Thanks. Here is a followup related question. How is it possible that the two attached pictures have differe...

Re: Can't figure out placement
Position corresponds to the origin in the original sketch. So if your feature is displaced from the origin, you'll have to translate the sketch Placement.Position to locate the feature exactly where you want it. The arithmetic is easier if the sketch is centred on the origin. Thanks a lot wandererf...

Can't figure out placement
This is a very dumb question, but I just can't seem to figure out how to do it or find instructions. How do you manage the placement of a sketch or pad on the base axis in Part Design? I created a circle sketch and then padded it to make a column. I would like to move the column to a specific locati...
