Re: Assembly GUI Development

I personally think that 6 +1 is fine, but you might be right. I think +6 is quite close to what SolidWork has: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_qB0LkRsAT6Q28tSDBoS1VNWGM/edit?usp=sharing but they only highlight edges. I am working on the assembly branch and all the highlightning was the same gray (...

Assembly GUI Development

Recently Stefan added highlightning to selected constraints in the assembly module, i have a proposal for another color theme then the gray he used: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_qB0LkRsAT6UzhWRXJvS2hZT3c/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_qB0LkRsAT6ZE9ZdTI1c3NZMEE/edit?usp=shari...

Preselect Implementiation

I do not quite follow the code yet.. I am trying to see how the "preselect" functionality is implemented (from locating the object under the mouse to how things actually are drawn on screen). I have been looking at selection.h/.cpp but there is no code that specifies what shape to draw where.. where...

Re: First basic implementation

I found that SolidWorks is best, probably because that what i am used to. The userinterface of NX feels a bit dated while ProE is beauteful but a little to smart and minimalistic for my taste. Here is a Draft of the study, Will continue on it later with more pictures and better/longer explanations o...

Re: First basic implementation

Omg, Nice! I do not yet have a good insight of how the code works, but i follow the basic structure. Do i only have to build the Assembly module or do i have to recompile the entire freecad if i make changes to the assembly C++ code? I have not yet found anything that could not be done from python a...

Re: First basic implementation

I have played around a bit with the Assembly module and browsed the code. Now i would like some feedback for some ideas. Its good to have a place where all the constrants can be seen as it is right now (in ComboView), But when you have lots of constrants it is good to get some references to what con...

Re: First basic implementation

I can start working on the user interface for the solver once i have figured out how the solver works ;) have checked out your and jriegels assembly branch, which is best to use? I am currently reading through the source code and trying to understand how things work and interact. Had my first glance...
