Re: 0.19 Assembly4 - using LCS?

I'm not sure what is wrong. I poked around a bit. There are duplicate origins in the 50RHS_6 file that I get warnings about. It won't delete them though. Not sure how this occurred. Just for discussion: Later rev's of A4 now allow a regular PD WB Body to be used by adding LCS from PD WB. So ...

Re: 0.19 Thread on Shaft with Fastners - possible?

pay attention to 2 details: the profile of the thread is not exactly identical for a screw or a nut, the profile generated by the subtraction of a nut will be larger if you want to make an end longer than a nut, you must use the same nut several times by moving it in the direction of the axis by a ...

Re: 0.19 Thread on Shaft with Fastners - possible?

Hi 2 solutions if your end of shaft is shorter as a large treared nut , you use one and substract it you can replace the end of the shaft by a treared rod The nut method looks like a neat way of doing it. I wonder if the shaft is longer than on nut, if adding several nuts and doing a cut would work.

Just throw a helix on the end and cut whatever shape thread you like.

I would have put the file up but I got an error message saying file too large. (1.711Mb)
Hi, yes thanks, I was looking at trying this method if not able to use Fastners WB to do similar.

Re: 0.19 Part Design - Wavy edge on revolved profile

Perhaps easier with my modified version, set idia and odia to desired values: Thanks drmacro. That definitely helped. Is there a way or what variable in that macro do I need to adjust for the amplitude of the sine wave? Unfortunately my math is not up to scratch and I cannot see what defines the am...
