Re: Installing CfdOF on a Mac

From the CfdOF readme: macOS Not widely tested, but success has been reported. See the following forum post for instructions. That forum post would be your best place to start. MacOS is not officially supported as I don't have a Mac... To build, which do I build first? HISA or Cfmesh? What is the pa...

Re: Edge Refinement in CfdOF cfMesh

Hello: Are the edge refinement options functional for cfMesh inside CfdOF? I edited the Edge Refinement and Region Edge Refinement values with no difference in the resulting mesh. Also, I don't see a "feature angle" input that would partner with the edge refinements. Unfortunately this is...

Re: Cant change temp folder location to another drive

Recently I tried to change the temp directory from the C drive to one of the other hard drives in my PC. The boot drive (C) is only a sata SSD and is nearly full and I have 3 empty NVME drives (unfortunately I cant use these to boot from for now). However, when I change the temp folder directory to...

Re: [Help] forceCoeffs function gives error regarding rhoInf

Although the documentation says 'rhoInf' is only used for incompressible solvers, and I am currently using the HiSA solver, I keep getting this error: rhoInf is used by forceCoeffs even in the compressible case, to determine the pressure coefficient p/(0.5*rho_inf*U_inf^2) Also, would there be a di...

Re: Run mesher

I've also included my Allmesh.bat below, I can't tell from the log error if it is failing to find the allMesh.bat or it is failing to find the setEnvVariables batch script (both files are where they should be, the path seems fine). @echo off REM Source runtime environment set FOAMDIR="A:\CFD\O...

I'm wondering why bash is running with a Windows path. Are you trying to use WSL perhaps? It's not currently supported unfortunately.

Re: Run mesher

Hi @oliveroxtoby , I also have a very similar issue. CfdOF dependencies were all installed successfully via the Cfdof preferences window. Log message: Meshing your file worked smoothly for me unfortunately. Does this happen only when using gmsh, or any of the meshers? Could you paste the output tha...

Re: FreeCAD does not Install OpenFoam and Paraview

Hi, Installed FreeCAD 0.21.2 on a laptop, windows 10 Home edition. Then successfully installed CfdOF using addon manager tool and restarted the device. Now I go to Edit, Preferences, Cfdof and try to install either Openfoam, Paraview, Cfmesh, or HiSA, nothing happens (see attached) and I get error ...
