Re: Assembly3 preview

Imagine how much easier manual rotations about an axis would be with a clear representation of the selection LCS. It's a bit more complex than just show the LCS, because the actual transformation may happen in a different context. asm3 mover is implemented with this difference in mind. When you sel...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Yesterday, I noted that when importing FastenerWB parts with 'Ctrl-drag' to an assembly container they were not imported as link. Thus I could not use the "ElementCount" property. So I made multiple copies and pulled them into the assembly, but it felt a bit like an inefficient way of doing things....

Re: Assembly3 preview

I added an example using DynamicData. I find this addon more practical than spreadsheets. What do you think ? Check out this . You can add dynamic properties of any type to any object. You can remove them too, but that should be done with caution in case it is not added by you, even though it can b...

Re: Assembly3 preview

In the example two posts above (see the image), I am using the element offset (Item number "4" is the element offset's rotation, correct?). But there you can see zhrtr that the green ring in the middle of the wheel is rotating with the part, indeed. From what you say it should only move with the pa...

Re: [implemented] select several entities at once for fillets

I am working on releasing of my fork of FC, which had a few conflict because of this recent changes in PartDesign editing. I don't like the way PartDesign highlights geometry references, and how its task panels always force user to switch between different selection modes. So I did some refactoring ...

Re: Assembly3 preview

First I was confused because the constraint itself has an "offset" value as well, but you mean the "offset" property of the elements under the constraint. It worked with "PlaneConicidence". The "PlaneConicidence" offset is a deprecated feature. It is kept for backward compatibility. This offset is ...

Re: Assembly3 preview

How can I solve this purely by constraints (I now that manually pre-aligning the wheel works)? If the Axis object is fixed by a Lock constraint, then you can use the 'Attachment' constraint to fix the wheel. This constraint works by aligning the placement of the elements exactly. So if the orientat...

Re: [implemented] select several entities at once for fillets

I don't understand because your patch does not change the behavior of existing PD dialogs. My patch's focus was to improve the dialogs independent of using Link. That link editor dialog is not specifically designed to select sub-elements, but it can do it, to some extent. The reason I bring it up i...
