Re: Simulating Low Youngs Modulus <0.5MPa Problem Limitation

Sorry but this solution looks a little bit strange. All floating points fields read from ccx are F20.0 FORTRAN input fields. So line 91 f.write("{0:.0f}, {1:.3f}\n".format(YM_in_MPa, PR)) should be changed to: f.write("{0:.13G}, {1:.3f}\n".format(YM_in_MPa, PR)) That's all. Pleas...

Re: Simulating Low Youngs Modulus <0.5MPa Problem Limitation

I think there is a bug in: ...src\Mod\Fem\femsolver\calculix\writer.py line 1431 if mat_obj.Category == "Solid": f.write("*ELASTIC\n") f.write("{0:.0f}, {1:.3f}\n".format(YM_in_MPa, PR)) {:.0f} means: format float with no decimal places  This has to be changed. :...

Mesh quality of your model is ways too bad. Screenshot 002.png Acute-angled tetrahedrons of this kind are fault-prone to neg. jacobians. Tetrahedron's aspect ratio shouldn't exceed 2.0 Therefore before meshing some manual approximate calculations are recommend. For example: Screenshot 004.png Just t...
