Re: Airfoil Wing with Washout

... I would call the "washout" Twist or Pitch.
Your root is a wire/polygon profile - a BSpline would be smooth.
(Testprofil_2 something to play with - look at curvature combs from CurvesWB)

... reproducing your profile by BSpline.
I don't understand what you intend with "washout"?

Re: Optics Workbench

... I have some trouble understanding the optical design of the ELT. With parabolic shape I can't get a realistic optical path. Up to now I always thought about a parabolic M1 mirror, but there is another text: https://elt.eso.org/mirror/M1/#mirrors-m1-technical The elliptic concave mirror, 39.3 met...

Re: Optics Workbench

... perhaps some kind of off topic. Last days I red an article in "Spektrum der Wissenschaften" 8.21 about the ESO project ELT "Extremely Large Telescope" with some 40m diameter and 798 hexagonal 1.4m-mirrors building the main mirror. Knowing that regular hexagonal tiling is only...

Re: Loft erzeugte Kanten/"Verbindungspunkte" verschieben

Re: Order of operations 3d printed airfoil with internal structure

... is scale really a no go argument for future development? A big gantry like 3D mini printers and something like LW-PLA, afterwards cladding inside and outside with a CFK/GFK shell. Sandwich from scaled up 3D printing. No more lamination forms, light weight and built in the first run => all the fe...

Re: Order of operations 3d printed airfoil with internal structure

... I already printed such a rudder for a RG65. Start on a base plate, which will be worked to shape or removed. The problem is to get the trailing edge smooth enough. And the printable form of the tip. https://www.forum.rg-65.de/viewtopic.php?p=25117#p25117 https://www.forum.rg-65.de/viewtopic.php?...

Re: Scroll Design / Follow a BSpline with a body

... the revolving Z-axis turns with constant speed.
The other axis "along Z" (X or Y) must be programmed like the Py-macro coordinates.
You also can use 2 or more cross sections along the sweep path.
=> 2 or more runs in axial direction.
