Re: SOLVED: Spacemouse not working (MacOSX)
I found the driver on the UK site and with the v10.7.0 driver the SpaceMouse works fine. I updated to 0.20 on my OS X 11.6.8 with 10.7.4 3D connexion driver...

Re: turn STEP geometry into BODY - coordinate system "wrong"
Have you attempted to put the STEP imported geometry in a Part WB Compound before dragging it into a Body? Maybe I need to read the step file to see what's in there. Cheers, Martin So, finally after looking through the STEP file (comes from Solidworks), I cannot find a central location where the lo...

Re: turn STEP geometry into BODY - coordinate system "wrong"
Have you attempted to put the STEP imported geometry in a Part WB Compound before dragging it into a Body? Dear Dr.Macro, so, I tried different ways - putting the STEP geometry into a Part WB Compound, too. If I do this, the same happens - the geometry flips into a different position. It seems to m...

Re: turn STEP geometry into BODY - coordinate system "wrong"
Did you read the what is in the link in the big pink banner? PinkBanner.png Have you attempted to put the STEP imported geometry in a Part WB Compound before dragging it into a Body? Dear Dr. Macro, apparently I have not read it completely. So now I did and here is the copy/paste info: OS: macOS 10...

Re: turn STEP geometry into BODY - coordinate system "wrong"
I'll assume you are using 0.19, you didn't provide you info (as requested in the big pink bar at the top of the forum page) Can you provide a step file that exhibits this behavior? Does this only happen when you've used the step to create a BaseFeature, then use the Body in an assembly? Which, if a...

Thanks, Thomas!thomas-neemann wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 11:27 amWhen I made this video, the parts are always slipped. in the video you can see a way how it is avoided.
But this seems rather complicated to me.
I thought there was a simpler way.

turn STEP geometry into BODY - coordinate system "wrong"
Dear Freecad users, since I have been able to turn STEP geometry into usable matter in FreeCAD (bodies), it has been a big help for me. One things bugs me nearly all the time with assemblies, though: often after conversion to a body, the coordinate system changes such that the newly created body is ...

Re: STEP output different from FreeCAD part
Concerning your first issue: You most probably selected a previous and not the final feature for export. I selected the body in the tree, selecting the whole thing. With "previous version" appearing I meant that things appeared that were wrong and which I corrected before exporting the ST...

Re: STEP output different from FreeCAD part
OK, so looking through the model, I found some errors in a different body - and now it's going havoc through the whole of the body's and features. Once one reference (external geometry, other features and edges) is broken, there is no holding back in FreeCAD... I try to save the model, but might as ...
