Re: [Discussion] Defining core workbenches

I think that overall, those who have been working for some time with FreeCAD have their habits, their preferences, but do not really measure the difficulties of newcomers, especially when they start in CAD: - go into the preferences of a workshop ... - customize your list of workshops ... - customi...

I did not trace the changes, but I will see if I have an old version in my backups. Can you tell me from which date the version was which you took for your translation?
I think I downloaded the file on October 26th. But I will resume at the beginning, it will allow me to reread once more!

Re: [Discussion] Defining core workbenches

That website is beautiful. The way it describes the PartDesign workbench is amazing. It must have been a lot of work to set up all the graphics nicely, well done! I don't know why it couldn't be done in the wiki. It seems to rely on simple links, going forward and backwards in a sequential fashion....

Re: [Discussion] Defining core workbenches

Indeed FreeCAD is hard to learn for newcomers. We all know that. I think the base of vocx's proposal, to separate things that a newcomer needs to learn , from the things one could go after later, is a very good idea. But I would maybe even remove Draft from the core workbenches, I think. I gave a l...

Re: [Discussion] Defining core workbenches

Hello, I have just read carefully the points of view of everyone in this post. Since a few months, I try to familiarize some friends (totally new in CAD) with the use of FreeCAD. I therefore allow myself to comment on the approach of this beautiful tool by beginners: - they are destabilized by so m...

Re: proposition de tutoriel pour Assembly3

Je n'ai pas encore terminé ce qui concerne les exemples de la partie assemblage. Mais si tu regardes le premier article de ce post tu trouveras des liens pour test...

Re: Assembly3 preview

I have refactored PropertyExpressionEngine and PropertySheet, to make them behave more like a link type property. So you can include sub-object reference or geometry reference inside your expressions, and they will be auto updated when your model changes, just like PropertyLinkSub in my branch. Gre...
