Feature requests: Enabling FreeCAD for sewing pattern making
I am a hobbyist sewer (my shirts are legendary :-) and I was looking around for an affordable tool to make sewing patterns for hobbyist, small bussinesses and 3rd world bussinesses. I know FreeCAD for 3D and point cloud applications and I tested a couple of tools specialized for sewing patterns (Val...

Re: Crash on loading project with scripted object
Create sketch and link it to at least one property of scripted object You should have made clear what you mean by linking. I did the following after steps 1 and 2: - create a sketch from Sketcher WB in XY-plane - create a horizontal line , left end in the origin - set as length (horizontal distance...

Crash on loading project with scripted object
I have created a project containing a scripted object (run macro attached for creation) and a sketch object refering to the properties of the object. Saving of the project is no problem but loading crashes FreeCAD. Any ideas what is wrong? If my script is buggy I would expect a more robust behaviour...

Re: sketch offset tool
Seems logical as 0.18 is hardly released and 0.19 just started its development cycle. I am waiting for the sketch offset too, because I discovered a new application with FreeCad for me. I started sewing a year ago and I am using FreeCad now as sewing pattern design software. The parametric sketcher...

Re: 3d offset fails on 3d letters
Convert Sketch "TUR" in the Draft workbench with the function "Convert bidirectionally between draft and sketch" Copy the new sketch 4 times Delete inside the sketches so you end with sketches: T U R Umlaut-Left Umlaut_Right Do for the sketches a 2D offset with the option Fill o...

Re: 3d offset fails on 3d letters
Is there alternatively a method to split separate objects automatically? I know this from Inkscape where you can split independent paths combined in one path object into separate path objects. I guess this could be simple in 3d too. Could I otherwise do a 2d offset on the sketch? I tried this but f...

3d offset fails on 3d letters
I created some text in draft workbench, then used Part->Extrude to give it some thickness and finally tried to add a 3d offset to this object. The last step fails with the error message: "Eingabefehler: BRepOffsetAPI_MakeOffsetShape not done". I have no clue what is going wrong here. Any h...
