So sieht deine ifc bei mir aus. Ich muss mich mit
dem Thema mal in Ruhe befassen. Die FC-Datei ist zur Kontrolle.

Habe mir dein Video angesehen. Den Trick mit dem Punktraster finde ich ganz gut,
kannte ich noch gar nicht. Du kannst ja mal deine statik.ifc hier posten.

Re: Newtons prism experiment

... in Sketcher there is Snells Law as a constraint. Aaah...thanks. I allways wondered what this button is used for. :) Pretty interesting stuff. The more I think about the more I get confused :? For instance: For the direction change of the light beam (the wavefront) you need Huygens ==> light as ...

Newtons prism experiment

Yesterday I saw a documentary about the disput between Newton and Goethe about the nature of the light. Maybe my question sounds completely idiotic, but: Is it possible to simulate the prism experiment with CAD to see the real rainbow when looking through the prism? newton_slit.FCStd slit_experiment...

Re: First step with FEM

Nice work!
BTW: when I have local peak stresses exceeding sigma-max, I run a plastic
analysis by using the additional material-nonlinear option.

Re: How to use FEM with Reinforced Material?

Here you can see a "real-life" case, for which I did the statics the last days. The building was erected approx 1960, there are tons of old plans. But nobody knows which one matches reality. We are planning to build a new steel-frame (radio-mast) on top. We had endless diskussions with controlling e...

Re: Another problem case

Your inlet definition in "Boundary face list" is wrong. Face 1 is the tube, should be Face 2

Re: demolition simulation

is it possible to use FEM and "CFDOF" at the same time to create a demolition simulation? No. You can try elmer. elmer has a solver for fluid-structure-interaction (FSI). http://www.elmerfem.org/blog/ BTW: you can use elmer with the FEM-wb too (after installing elemer). But for running FSI you must...
