Re: Screw Maker
Thanks again Ulrich for this great macro. I needed to 3D print a nut for my tripod (1/4" UNC). I managed to make a few by changing a M6 ISO4032 nut with the following parameters: In the python script, I modified line 1403: 'M6': (1.27, 0.2, 6.75, 9.5, 12.1, 4.7, 3.9, 10.5), And added some toler...

Re: Installing GDAL for the Geodata Workbench
@microelly2
Thanks for taking the time to look at these libraries installation.
It would be nice to integrate this installation in a script like Xenial--FreeCAD_all.sh (https://gist.github.com/berndhahnebach/).
I just ran that script in my Ubuntu Mate VM and it works just great. Thanks goes to Bernd.

Re: Installing GDAL for the Geodata Workbench
Thanks for your quick answer.
I read this thread (https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=20674) and I think I will be stuck with FreeCAD 0.17.
I have the 0.16 64 bits and with that one, it will not work either.
Solution is to move to 0.16 32 bits or to another OS...

Re: Installing GDAL for the Geodata Workbench
Hello Firstly, thanks to the developper of this workbench, it is fantastic. I am trying to install GDAL, that's why I am continuing this thread. I have installed the GeoData Workbench from Github. To install GDAL, I was "inspired" by this document located at http://geotribu.net/node/636. I...

Re: FC0.17: Kicad resistor step file broken
Ok, thanks again
It seems I did fix it.
There are quite a few more models with similar issues in these KiCad folders...

FC0.17: Kicad resistor step file broken
I have converted a few KiCad components (resistors) to step files. Some of them have their legs broken! Is it a problem with my workflow? Re: How to get the min/max coordinates along the axis
Ok, if your object is "Fusion002", then the following code in a spreadsheet (3 cells!) returns
the dimension X, Y and Z of that object. Pretty cool:
=Fusion002.Shape.BoundBox.XLength
=Fusion002.Shape.BoundBox.YLength
=Fusion002.Shape.BoundBox.ZLength

I think I found what I am looking for in this thread:
https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=4453
I will just link the values to a Spreadsheet.

How to get the min/max coordinates along the axis
I would like to get the min/max coordinates values of parts along the X,Y and Z axis. Are there any properties doing that "out of the box" or do I need to dig into Python scripting? Thanks for your help. OS: Windows 7 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.16.6706 ...

Re: Assembly2: cannot position a part
I see now. Importing from "File --> Import..." is not the same as importing from the + Icon.
That part then behaves correctly.
Thanks again
