Re: Freecad 0.18 going slow

And, by the way.. The first feature is completely wrong , you created a sweep, where a simple pad would be enough. This is the first braking block here. I know you learned from my videos..but i never showed you this approach... surely... You used patterns where the do not make sense.. only the polar...

Re: sketch lines are gone

Maybe think about the "master sketch" concept and adopt. If you make a sketch, which is only the base for other sketches , and does not have a feature coming out of it.. You can make all lines as normal lines and see them from elsewhere.

Re: Problem with slice

I second that.. A real object in FreeCAD is not hollow..so to say. If you imported an STL ,you missed one step ..create solid from shell ..

See my videos for explanantions...

Re: Converting a FCStd file into gcode for a 3d print

I doubt you are using the right way to export.. My way,as seen in most of my videos: use mesh workbench , select the object and create mesh from shape. Then via the context menu export the mesh as an single STL file. If you have more than one mesh, you can selecte them all, export each or fuse them i...

Re: Convert stl to solid problem

In addition to that,i bet, the file is not a solid . Use meshmixer or meshlab to bring it down to a reasonable and error free file
Keep in mind FreeCAD is a technically oriented CAD..for such, blender or the like might be better.

Re: Messed uo with STL Import, meshes and solid objects

You have not made SOLIDS out of the STL original File. Try to fusion all and you get a message that this will have unpredictive results with shells. When exporting the whole file instead of fusioning and making one mesh ( or several meshes and fusioning in a slicer or in mesh WB ) you can´t see the ...
