Spreadsheet uses 100% CPU and Locks Up with Aliases
I have been a long time FreeCAD user and had grown very used to using the spreadsheet to generate parameters that could be used in the sketchs and other formula capable fields throughout the application. Recently (the past year or so), I have not been able to use the Spreadsheet as it seems to go in...

Re: Hidden Line Properties In Techdraw
Does this answer the question? I thought the question was more style (dash vs solid) and not line width centered. I am also trying to figure out how to set this setting as I am getting solid lines for hidden lines and it is making my drawings confusing.

Re: FEM Mesh Has 0 Volume (2 Bodies with Compound Filter Approach)
Sure. I went back and added in the code chunks. Also, update... I was able to get it to work finally. I ended up needing to remove the gap distance between the two parts (the mesh_sep variable), create a copy of the mount plate and subtract that from the mounting arm, and then do the Boolean Fragmen...

Re: FEM Mesh Has 0 Volume (2 Bodies with Compound Filter Approach)
Thanks for the suggestion. I deleted the compound filter and the boolean fragment operations and replaced them with a single "Compound" operation from the Part workbench and I get basically the same thing. This is the output of the Check Geometry Results: Checked object: Compound Shape typ...

[Solved] FEM Mesh Has 0 Volume (2 Bodies with Compound Filter Approach)
I have been trying to determine the stresses on a custom mounting plate for a Knotmaster Log using the FEM workbench. Unfortunately, because of the multiple parts that I am using the resulting mesh has 0 volume elements and the FEM solver will not function. An overview image of the effort is here (T...

Imported SVG Not Working As Extrudable Sketch
I have imported an SVG file with a registered R in it, the one with the circle. When I tried to pad the sketch, it fails. Here is an image with portions of the sketch visible (I converted the outer portion of the "R" into construction lines for debugging purposes). Screen Shot 2021-08-28 a...

Re: Mesh does not contain cutout feature
So sad..... And fixed now...
but I though that the Tip is what was always shown? As in, right before I meshed it, the cutout was active.

Mesh does not contain cutout feature
I have a simple rectangular pad with a simple cutout. Every time I try to mesh this, all I get is the rectangular pad as if the cutout never existed. I have been playing with this for over an hour now and cannot seem to figure this out. Never seen this issue. Here is a screenshot of the model: Scree...

Freecad Idomatic Method for Radial Cylindrical Cutouts
I was looking though some sample parts to model and I ran across the following: Screen Shot 2021-08-01 at 8.58.46 AM.png Can somebody tell me what the Freecad method is to get the middle cutouts done correctly. So far I have modeled two half circles and subtracted those and then have a full wedge to...
