Re: Utility to inspect OpenCascade models

A small update for anyone who follows: How to change the appearance, because it's very bright? Available since today (ver. 0.3.0). The color can be changed from the parameter editor. Also, some more B-Rep inspection functions are not available in both GUI and console. Also, would it be possible and ...

Yes just for technocrat who have never seen a press bend even in photo
That's geometry man, like it or not.

and the inner and outer radii are obligatorily concentric
Yes, concentric, but radii are different. Just a random picture from web:

Re: Help for sheet metal part

One another thing which contributes to the global invalidity of that part (but should not prevent it from unfolding I guess) is that some paired bend faces have exactly the same radius. E.g., faces 37 vs 32 and faces 2 vs 50. A good bend should come with a bigger outer and a smaller inner radius.

Re: Utility to inspect OpenCascade models

BTW, this face removal feature is available in the inspection utility (I have updated the first post for a valid link), so you can give it a try. Essentially, this is a global operation based on Booleans and face maximization. It should work fine for canonical geometry and parts of moderate size. T...

Re: How often are bugs reported to OpenCASCADE?

It would be nice, especially concerning fillets. I see so many people here who have issues with fillets, all of which are OCCT bugs. I'll look at the CLA sometime this summer after exams are over. With fillets, you can do basically only one thing: rewrite them. This particular modeling feature is a...
