Re: Lathe Features

I have been investigating what is possible for lathe code generation and I could use some help. Awesome! I'm thrilled to see someone playing with this. I suspect that the PathArea approach is inherently limited but it might be possible to get a basic rough turning operation to work. If nothing else...

Re: Lathe Features

See below. There seems to be some recomputation problem in FeatureArea, you'll sometimes need to manually 'Mark for recompute' of the area object as shown in the video. And yes, Path.Area currently do not support negative retraction. If that is really necessary, I can add it. https://youtu.be/L3Pft...

Re: Lathe Features

I have been investigating what is possible for lathe code generation and I could use some help. I am trying to use Path.fromShapes to generate gcode and I am having some trouble with the 'retraction' parameter. It seems the retraction plane can't be in the negative direction, which is an issue for t...

Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation

LinuxCNC had nothing to grouse and the whole process runs without problems. Only one thing i don't find out where it comes from, i have a little messurement problem at the rectangular pockets. All measures are within the tollerance of my machine, outside and also all round pockets, only the rectang...

Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation

HI, when milling a part with Adaptive Op a few days ago I noticed a tessellation effect on a larger rounded contour. I know there is this slider to choose between accuracy and speed but I only need more accuracy for this final profile path. Is it possible to use the global path config accuracy sett...

Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation

Hi kreso, is it possible to add a parameter that it's possible to remove the all material inside a pocket. ATM "Adaptive" leaves the material at the middle of this example. If i select the highlighted area i get no path, because the ring is smaler as the tool diameter. It should be possible, Pocket...

Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation

I tried Adaptive for the first time on a real part - and the first time my CNC process looks like milling ;). Never produced a part that fast. I used the "outside" option to process part and stock. IMG_20180926_221952.jpg The path was very nice and effective. What I don't liked was that there was n...
