Re: PartDesign new development, MultiBody and more

I have no bug reports or feature requests this time, I want to get my hands dirty myself. Two years ago my first pull request was successfully merged. PR1339 With such small projects I try to understand the freecad code base better and better and today's pull request is the continuation of this. mul...

Re: Work on modern icon theme

I love the new icons, when you combine them with my freecad-modern-config and a few more addons, it makes a really great interface. In the pictures below I used the LinkStage3 branch and the SelectorToolbar , but you can also use the Glass addon from triplus. I would like to point out that maybe the...

Re: Realthunders work

I think this is the visible difference for the end user between working on new features and maintaining old code and stability. For most developers it is more exciting to implement new features than to care about the stability and security of old code. Of course I'm happy about every single new feat...

Re: PartDesign new development, MultiBody and more

I am very happy about the new multibody features, which makes my design work much easier. For example: Screw holes can be applied to several parts with just one sketch and the hole feature, eliminating the need for cumbersome referencing with the shapebinders. You have much more constructive and cre...

Re: Assembly3: Best way to express multiple configurations?

You can try the new configuration tables from realthunders branch. This should allow you to put together two different assemblies in different configurations. https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=42183 Or you just make a new assembly with different links? Another question: How do yo...

Re: FreeCAD modern look script

And the thing with the missing backup is a disadvantage, but I have already fixed it. what if you do it twice ? You overwrite the backup file, which means that the original user.cfg is gone. You seem to be a nice person with goodwill, so I'll give you an advice: Murphy is your friend. Yes i've forg...

Re: FreeCAD modern look script

The macro is os independent and not a theme or stylesheet, it simply changes many user parameters. I find exchanging userconfigs really cumbersome, because all parameters must always be taken over here. The macro is designed to keep the existing settings of the user and to add to them. There are man...

FreeCAD modern look script

Hi guys, today I want to show you my project to give FreeCAD a more modern look. I wrote a small python script that writes all parameters into your existing config. Mainly the colors and the general look are changed, the interaction of the colors was important to me. The script also changes some oth...

Re: [Feature request] Automate Link and ShapeBinder

The new green subshape binder is much more powerful than the old one. I don't know of any use case where I would prefer the old one. I think the old blue shapebinder should be removed and replaced by the new one! The following dialog does a good job and automatically creates a shapebinder and rename...

Re: 0004296: crash in sketcher when deleting external reference on broken sketch

I just tried to reproduce the bug with the current freecad daily build and what should I say? The bug was probably fixed on the side. OS: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS (ubuntu:GNOME/ubuntu-wayland) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.19. Build type: Release Branch: unknown Hash: 72e...
