coin3d Shaders in FreeCAD

I played around a bit with shaders in coin3d and wanted to get some example shaders to work. I tried to recreated the shaders in the openinventor documentation https://developer90.openinventor.com/content/203-writing-pixel-lighting-shader Then I tried to Import the sample iv file that is mentioned h...

Re: Arch Fence

Added an option to use the Colors of the original section and fence post. When Setting the shape Color of the fence, the whole fence is colored with the same Color ShapeColor.png The Pull Request adds the "UseOriginalColors" Option to the Fence ViewObject. UseOriginalColors.png When set to "true", t...

Re: Arch Texture Workbench

Is it possible to give the option of rotation of the texture picture when is used repeatedly to cover a surface This is not possible at the moment. But this isva nice feature request. I will have a look how this could be implemented. For now i always used seamless textures. So there is no visible s...

Re: Arch Texture Workbench

Will try to figure this out and document it :) Thanks, cool looking work! Hard to tell what is really supported. Based on the documentation of coin3D it depends on the installed simage library. https://grey.colorado.edu/coin3d/classSoTexture2.html#abf0223797fb828cff57c0b9b068a5f49 But as this is ou...

Re: Arch Texture Workbench

I also think it is possible to do. I read this article https://learnopengl.com/Advanced-Lighting/SSAO It gives a pretty good explanation on how ssao works. I think the fragment shader in coin3d is the place to implement this. But foes coin3d use deferred rendering? So that we have the needed informa...

What file formats are supported for this? .png .jpg
Do you mean what is supported by the workbench? I think everything coin3d supports should work. So maybe it boils down to everything opengl supports.

I think i used a tif file once.

Will try to figure this out and document it :)

Re: Arch Texture Workbench

A quick search gave me this http://texturelib.com/license/ The download works without login and the one texture i checked was 4096x4096 pretty good for a seamless texture i think. Also here are opensource textures https://opengameart.org/textures/all but don't know anything about the resolution of t...

It is hard to find good HD textures
Yeah thats right. I mostly use textures.com. They are free to use for low resolution. But you have to pay for the high resolution textures in think.

Re: Arch Texture Workbench

Added a new feature to the Environment Textures. One can set the "PanoramaType" to "360" now to use a 360 Degree Panorama. Then only a part of the Image is displayed and when you rotate the Environment the texture is adapted to the Rotation. The beginning of the Image is considered "North" and is fi...

Re: [FeatureRequest] Sketcher: Add additional information to geometry

You can add basic information to geometries: strings, booleans, ... This sounds exactly like what I proposed. Awesome :) however it would make models even more difficult to understand In my opinion it might make models more easy to understand. Especially the high level tools like Arch can benefit f...
