Vertical Feed replaced by horizontal feed

For each path job tool controller, there are fields to specify the "Vert. Feed" and "Horz. Feed." There seems to be a case using "Tag Dress-up", where the value vertical feed value is "lost" and the post-processed G-code uses either the horizontal speed value ...

Re: GRBL new post processor with drill cycles G81..G83

Thanks for the fix. Are there any plans to add this to the master branch? I noticed that the latest grbl_post.py has a different precision value (3 vs 4). And there might be other changes. It would be nice if your fix was merged into master branch so that other changes get automatically picked up.

Re: Path job in metric generating G20 (imperial) G-code

Thanks for the "centroid" catch. My CNC machine was going "crazy" and retracting until the spindle hit the top and motor kept on running (no limit switches). I had to quickly kill the power to stop the CNC from burning out the motor. I didn't know which instruction was causing th...

Path job in metric generating G20 (imperial) G-code

I have a part design project with four path jobs (different tools). One of the jobs exports the proper G21 code (0.001 mm increments). But, the three other jobs export G-code preambles containing the incorrect instruction, G20, which sets increments to 0.0001 inches (should be metric, G21). The job ...

Re: Win 0.17.11595 x64 archive corrupted

You are correct about difficulty customizing the pages on SourceForge, etc. I used Google to search using terms like "freecad download." And that search generated links to SourceForge and Github download pages. Interesting that few people get to download pages that way. Or maybe a lot of p...

Re: Win 0.17.11595 x64 archive corrupted

@NormandC You said that the notice that website has moved from sourceforge to github is on the download page. So, I searched for it there. That notice is at the very end of a very long page. If you're selecting the lastest builds, which are at the top of the page, you will never see that notice... ;...

Re: Win 0.17.11595 x64 archive corrupted

Thanks! When scrolling down to look at the releases, there was sufficient white space between the official and 0.17_pre section that it didn't show on my display when I looked previously. It would be nice if there were a link at the top to the development versions. Is the sourceforge site obsolete n...

Re: Win 0.17.11595 x64 archive corrupted

At https://sourceforge.net/projects/free-c ... velopment/

0.17.11595 is the latest version. And https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases only seems to have the 0.16 releases.

Is there another website for downloading the latest 0.17 builds?

[Closed] Win 0.17.11595 x64 archive corrupted

FreeCAD_0.17.11595_x64_dev_win.7z Using 7-zip to extract the file gives the error message about an unexpected end of file. I re-downloaded several times, including using a mirror. All failed with the same error. Older versions download and extract without a problem. It's just that latest version tha...
