Re: Thermal Radiation Analysis

I'm not sure to understand why this thread have been moved to the CFD forum. For me, using calculix, all the answer to the questions asked are "yes" (I didn't look very deeply, but I found this document (http://www.dhondt.de/ccx_2.14.pdf) and if you look "calculix thermal contact" or "calculix view ...

Re: Macro to compute center of mass

New "0.4.0" version is online. (update is available through the addon manager) Big part of modifications are coming from @hds proposals : improvement: the center of mass of a solid put in a moved part container is well computed add a cursor to modify the radius of spheres add a spinbox to set the de...

Re: How2 render/export dimension w povray?

It's certainly easier to add these texts after the rendering using an image editor (gimp for instance)

Re: Bounding box for .stl mesh

Volume of the part (stl mesh). And I also need the surface area. FreeCAD.getDocument("Unnamed").Objects[0].Mesh.Area FreeCAD.getDocument("Unnamed").Objects[0].Mesh.Volume I think Mesh.Volume on meshes returns nothing ? I had to code something by myself to do it on the center of mass macro. Then, yo...

Re: Macro to compute center of mass

For production pls wait for shupins patched version. A new version has been pushed, you can get it through the addon manager. I just add @syres and @hds modifications. Feel free to test it and come back if you find anything ! (especially @syres modification because I just tried on one computer but ...

Re: VIIC 1:45 modell

@shupin since the FC "Material" probably takes a while to accomplish, could we get a "set default density" button and input field for the time beeing ? Now i do change the macro for every "main" material in the selection so i do only have to set a few remaining bodies. BTW very nice job, your macro...

Re: VIIC 1:45 modell

Here i changed the COM macro to size the spheres according to the mass. That is very handy cause it indicates that the main contributors do have their COM around the center of the ship where they belong plus because of that only very little rudder action is needed to go up and down. Get ready for s...

Re: Macro to compute center of mass

Thanks a lot for your corrections HDS ! I hope it will help your boat to float :) I'll investigate on your graphic bug : I'm on ubuntu (kde), the Freecad-Daily works well. OS: Ubuntu 19.04 (KDE/plasma) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.19. Build type: Release Python ver...
