Re: Assembly 4 workbench

... I've looked through the wiki but haven't noticed any case where assembly is used for creation of further models (I mean anything other than just pure assemblies). I think this is the wrong approach. An Assembly workbench should just assemble objects that were previously created. It shouldn't be...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to use asm4 to place one body (wrapped in Part) to another one and do a boolean operation between them. My question is: Is that even possible? I've looked through the wiki but haven't noticed any case where assembly is used for creation of further models (I mean a...

Right, asm3 actually works in the LinkMerge branch. I'll soon make some changes so that it can be installed through the add-on manager.

Open Attachment editor

Hello, I'd like to ask how to open Attachment editor dialog via Python. I've gone through the code snippets and examples on the wiki but haven't found anything similar to it. Only thing I've come up with is Gui.runCommand('Part_EditAttachment') but it gives me a different dialog which does not have ...

Re: Porting to python3

For anyone interested in running FreeCAD with Python 3.7: https://github.com/Grawp/FreeCAD/tree/python3.7 It is not a proper fix yet. PyImport_AppendInittab should be called before Py_Initialize and I haven't had time to investigate where Py_Initialize is being called etc.. yet so I've just added t...

Re: Porting to python3

I've created a PR with a quick fix for python 3.7. Could somebody have a look at it at https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/1631 ? I'm also not sure whether it should be linked with https://www.freecadweb.org/tracker/view.php?id=995 or whether it should have dedicated tracker's issue or if tracke...
