Re: Pocket breaks body (faces glitch away and distort)

Strange, in the case I don't see Support on:
master-front
Sketch017
Sketch018

Anyone else see the same?
Thanks

Re: Sketcher: Snapping to external edges automatically

I was thinking about a feature that other cad software have. While sketching you are able to snap and auto-constraint to external edges. Even without creating external geometry in sketcher. So basically that would mean when a geometry tool like line is active, and you hover on an external edge, if ...

Re: Is there an option to disable FreeCAD getting online?

I will take it that currently there is no switch. If I had to guess, there is some TCP module included that is a DLL or C++ written and is compiled up and should not be touched. It probably has multiple entry points and that's a mess. Maybe someday; The module is open source so someone could write a...

Re: New-old macro 'Wise1"

The video shows a block with an offset post, I enable the Origin planes so you can see the block offset. Prior to using the dialog I select the post circular edge and the face which gives me enough to make the MapMode "Concentric". You can see the Sketch centers on the post because a round...

Re: weird rendering issue in recent development versions

When I open the file from the first post my tree looks like this. All the Supports are missing. I also see in Report "No extension found of type 'App::SuppressibleExtension' I think there is something wrong with the file. I'm using dev 0.22.35822. I wonder if other Workbenches have done somethi...

Sketcher opens with less tools, pic

I use standard sketcher toolbars. You can see in the first row how the last tool showing is the activate/deactivate constraint and the next toolbar starts. The only thing that I noticed is this was the first sketch I created after my PC coming out of sleep. Now I close and reopen the sketch and ever...

Re: Is there an option to disable FreeCAD getting online?

thomas-neemann I unplug the internet My workstation is unplugged also. But a laptop here and there will jump online for any reason. Just one wrong mouse click and the system jumps online and I lose control of whatever gets done in the background. I didn't give any permission to go online, it ...

Re: How to cut vertically oriented "slits" on inside face of vessel

I don't understand the issue, you can use Revolve to add material and Groove to subtract material. Revolve a vase and then use Groove to make a slit, then do a polar pattern.

Is there an option to disable FreeCAD getting online?

As FreeCAD grows so does the list of places where someone can click and FreeCAD will try to get online, the Help tab as a for-instance. Is there an option to disable the IP. I would imagine the option needs to be at a low level because developers might accidentally go around any high level switch. T...

Re: auto things making life "easier"

To add to the problem the options can be in different places in every minor/major release and the wording could change. It can take days on a fresh install to get every option set. How about; make a temporary list on the forum (hopefully one page of one line items) by users, something we can print o...
