Visual mating analytics to target what has changed. . . .

There is much dicussion about different modeling concepts and ways to put a model together, this is all good but I personally think FreeCAD is plenty good enough to build models accurately in it's current configuration. My major issues with FreeCAD and CAD in gereral is one of trust and verify, trus...

Re: Looking for signals for New Document and Properties Changed

I need to stop doing searches and start looking more at the source code. It makes since these would be found as header files in App and GUI.
Thank you.

Re: 'BRep_API: command not done' with thickness

Kind of odd, if I select and space-bar the broken thickness feature the object spins 90 degrees and the thickness appears. That looks like some kind of corruption of a plane, or maybe just a misunderstanding. :)

GUI new addition, toggle operation with flexibility (concept)

If I were a main GUI developer and found that in the tree any icon that is selected can only be selected once (from a user standpoint), click on the same icon as many times as you like and nothing changes, every icon in the tree . Well, that's a huge opportunity to exploit by detecting a toggle type...

Re: Contribution for FreeCad Community.

I don't know how long you have been using or looking at FreeCAD but my suggestion would be to spend a lot of time reading the forums and building small models. You will learn the current state of development and get the feel for what is missing or what you miss most.
Thanks

Re: Looking for ideas re brick

Isn't this what Link was designed for, you make one brick and then all the others are links. File size can be minimal.

Edit: Maybe you make a row (of two) and then link all the others.

Looking for signals for New Document and Properties Changed

If you have a second, I searched a bunch and can't the references. Usage: I'm running a macro and a user can change documents, I need the signal that tells me the document has changed. Usage: I'm running a macro and a user changes Properties, I need a signal for that, I think it signals on any chang...

Re: How can I detect a mouse click outside the 3D area?

Thank you, heda. Wow! This is the way code should act. :D Thanks again. It works perfectly and triggers just the way I would want, click on something and get a response. I did notice this is just a signal where-as the selObserver will allow me to interrupt the selection process. I looked up unpackin...

Re: How can I detect a mouse click outside the 3D area?

I tried to run the heda code and got this: File "C:/A_freeCAD_macro/100.FCMacro", line 4, in <module> _,tw = mw.findChildren(QtGui.QTreeWidget) <class 'ValueError'>: not enough values to unpack (expected 2, got 1)18:54:09 Traceback (most recent call last): I then tried to remove the under-...

Re: If you want to color some of your models.

Thought I would update the model color macro. Added Shade or Flat line enabling.
