Re: Dependency graph panning

Thanks chrisb :D

Now that I look more closely, I see all those custom shortcuts above the forum post editor window. That's pretty useful.

Re: A docker container for building and running FreeCAD

Wonderful news. I think the docker image is ready. Would anyone like to test it? Hi David, Thanks for setting up this docker image, I was trying to set up my own build environment and getting stuck on a couple of things. Now that you've done the hard work, I'll take advantage of it - and use it as ...

Re: Dependency graph panning

Sadly, on my Ubuntu based system, I cannot get ctrl-right-drag or alt-right-drag to pan the DG view. I guess that's a mac only thing, or a QT on mac only thing. Hopefully one day we see the DG view emulate the panning action that the other 2D and 3D views use (based on whichever 3D navigation option...

Re: [bug?] dimension constraints accept unitless values as mm

I can follow these steps, and I get the same results in the daily build of freecad. I found (like you) that setting those width constraints in Sketch001 to "Spreadsheet.X + 0.5 mm" worked around the problem.

[Merged] Ticket #3896 - [Feature] Dependency graph panning

Hi, I'm finding more and more that I am spending time with the dependency graph as a feedback device, to ensure that I am not creating cross-body links and other problems with my geometry. I've noticed that when I have 6 or 8 bodies or more, each with its own history of features and operations, the ...

Re: New sketch dialog options

Sorry I don't have a full answer, but I did find this similar question in the forum history: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=26167 NormandC wrote towards the end: "I think they refer to the possibility of using the sketch outside of the active body." And there is more informat...

Re: Upgrade tool in Draft Workbench

I'm working my way through the tutorials under the "help" tab and in particular am working on the "Draft tutorial". The tutorial instructs to fuse four elements into a single wire using the "upgrade" tool. I'm following the tutorial to the letter, but it's not joining ...

Re: Cutting one body from another with either Part or PartDesign workbench

<snip> In the model below I arranged it to follow my suggestion above </snip> Thank you very much NormandC. Most of what you have said immediately makes sense, and the parts that don't yet - I will experiment with and let the info soak in. I'll also give those wiki pages a re-read. I do understand ...
