After creating a solid using PartDesign WB, I notice I cannot duplicate this object in a2plus WB.
The duplicate function only works for A2plus objects in an assembly file. It is not intended to be used directly within PartDesign.

Re: A2+ Parts where not moved. They are not constrained to a fixed part!

I created a simple example that gives me the same error.Test Assembly2Plus.FCStd A2plus is designed to import parts, each one been designed in a separate file. If you import your single parts into a assemby file, you can apply constraints and this will work. A2plus will not work if you apply constr...

Re: a2plus/a2+ bug? freecad crashes when duplicating external object

In a2plus, when add an external object and then duplicate, FreeCAD would crash and disappear. Hi, this chrash seems to depend on the FC version. I can reproduce it with: OS: Linux Mint 18.3 (X-Cinnamon/cinnamon) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.19.17499 (Git) AppImage...

Re: A2+ for Linux and Win seem incompatible

I am working on different PCs. One with Linux Mint, the other with Windows 10. For A2+ assembles, documents created under the one seem to change when opened under the other OS. When created in the one, the constraints are placed inside a tree structure of the Combo View. When opened in the other, t...

Re: Inconsistent imports in A2+

Hi @Roland, thanks for the files. I cannot reproduce the problem on my side. I imported the component "OutSectionLast" a second time to your "Test" assembly. No invisible part appears. Have a look at the screenshot. Also the report view shows the names of the ignored invisible objects. Do you have ...

I created sub-assemblies with hidden parts (used for aligning cylindrical surfaces).
When importing those into one main assembly, some sub-assemblies appear with the hidden parts made visible again. Other subs appear as intended.
Please provide a test file for me.

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

I try to make datum points to use for constraints but those are not visible in a2plus. Even LCS are not visible. This is not possible yet and it requires a heavy rebuild of A2plus. So this will not come soon. Any approach to create constraints that I can make features after that? As told some post ...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Can the mates that fail be highlighted in the tree or perhaps a list of the mates be made so that we can easily see which mates we need to fix? Hi Dan, IMHO this is not possible. A2plus only detects numerical value divergation summed up over all constraints. So it is extremly difficult to say which...

Hi @Klaus,
any news on Datum Plane in A2+?
Hi Maurice,
nothing new at moment. I am bound to some big projects at job and there will be not any time at all within next 2-3 month. I hope the situation will improve after that.

Greetings,
Klaus
