Re: Inverted Sketch

One solution using an Angle Constraint: 20200224b-HoseAdapter2.FCStd (Check your wall thickness at the left end of the smaller barb fitting after you change the Vertical Distance Constraint from 15 mm to 8 mm) OS: Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS (ubuntu:GNOME/ubuntu) Word size of OS: 32-bit Word size of FreeCAD:...

Re: Add camfer to certain Edges

I tried "Part Design" and "Part" camfer and even a boolean difference, but no avail. Can you help me getting the camfer done? I have a workaround for the quarter arc chrisb mentioned: the quarter arc can be chamfered only 0.17mm while the other edges can have 1mm. I created a Sketch of what would b...

Hi, and welcome! I agree with what jmaustpc wrote, and I see Linear300 replied as I'm writing this, but I can offer some information to get you started. using the "image workbench" and a button "create a planar image in the 3d space"....which allows the guy to bring the image of a bottle directly on...

Re: Smooth lip

Is there a way to smooth the lip in this model. The bottom is a revolve, then there is a sweep, that is the the lip is, and a pad at the top, It's easier to do it all in one Sweep, unless some portions are hollow and other portions are solid. 20200222a.png 20200222d.FCStd OS: Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS (ub...

The question is is it worth to put it in the list of OS dependent issues?
I say "yes".

Maybe its helpful to know that the workaround is to get out by middle mouse key.
Most definitely.

Re: Quoting; was: FreeCAD Website Design

My suggestion: Change the existing quote button behaviour as follows: User scrolls down to a post that contains a part of text they desire to quote. User selects that text, which is some subset of the entire text. User clicks the quote button, Image. The web page notices that text is selected, and ...

Re: Fillets and old iron

When that textbook was written the mold pattern would have been made by hand from wood and the outside corner fillets abraded away (file, sandpaper) and the inside corner fillets made by filing them in with a bead of some material that hardened afterwards. I don't think that directly trying to model...

My guess is my terminology is a bit off and I'm causing some alignment confusion. I'm generically calling pads, pockets, chamfers features and I'm guessing that is wrong.
You can read here for Feature (and for more FreeCAD) terminology:
