First is to use Sketcher external.
Try this one instead:

That dark blue will make the whole page grey.
Try doing it this way:

From the pull-down menu go to Tools > Save Picture.
Click the Extended button in the Save Picture window.
Change the Background field from Current to White.
Give your image a File Name, then click the Save button.

Re: How to do something ( anything ) with an SVG path

The aim is to get the form you have created but as a pocket rather than a raised wall. Open the file you posted and from the history tree delete Pocket-fail and body-Pad (the Pocket really didn't fail - more on that later) but keep the Sketches. Select sketch-body and Pocket it 2 mm. Select Sketch-...

Re: Problems with a DWG file

Hi founder, and welcome! Just installed FreeCAD on Ubuntu 16.04 LTE. Just installed ODA Ok so far... but then the Import fails: Import in FreeCAD, but nothing happens. All empty like before the import attempt. Try to Import again, it will fail. From the pull-down menu go to Edit > Preferences > Impo...

Re: basic drilling template

It is the easiest thing in the world to do with librecad and friends, but I guess I simply do not understand what constraints are and how to make the dimensions what I want. I am used to cad programs where I can select, drag, snap to grid, maybe even count a little bit, and boom I get what I want. ...

Re: Cutting walled cylinders intersection

I am trying to cut the intersection of two 2mm wall tubes. But the result have these extra "faces" ...snip... Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I think that the unwanted residual faces in your image are because the two Sketches used to make the tubes aren't Fully Constrained, and not Fu...

Re: Sketches have disappeared?

Hi Luke, and welcome to the forum! I'll add that you might what to look for a backup of your zgantrymount1.fcstd file named zgantrymount1.fcstd1. Rename zgantrymount1.fcstd1 to something else, and change the file extension from .fcstd1 to .fcstd, open it in FreeCAD, and see what you have.

Re: Freecad 0.18 Draft lines not updating after changing start/end coordinates

5. In the properties display, change any of the start or end coordinate values 6. Display will not update to show the line at its new start or end coordinates I think you have to change the focus away from the Value field like click in a different Property > Value field or click somewhere in the 3D...

Re: sketch workbench: selecting the middle of a line?

you select the points 1 and 2 of A, then the point 3 of B, you click the tool in the form of 2 arrow points against point, A tip I learned from DeepSOIC in this post ]: Try selecting Line A directly (not its Endpoints), then the endpoint of Line B, and now apply the Symmetry Constraint. It saves yo...
