Re: Reference of spreadsheet by Alias

It's a workaround.

I noticed that in the bug tracker there isn't a Spreadsheet category, under which to file a bug report, so I'll wait.

would you add the Spreadsheet category, or should a ticket go under something else?
(Not sure if I did that correctly)

Re: Reference of spreadsheet by Alias

Thank you Bejant. You're welcome hardeeprai. Is there way to update it immediately? No, not immediately. But if you rename a Spreadsheet in the history tree, then close the Spreadsheet tab at the bottom of the 3D view, and double-click the Spreadsheet in the history tree to open it again, it re-ope...

Re: What is a "body"?

Scenario: you want to draw a cube with a chamfer along one corner. Workflow: You add your cube on the XYZ space, and after you select the "chamfer" tool. Result: it won't work: Try this work flow instead: Open FreeCAD and do File > New or Ctrl + N. Click the Part Design > Additive Cube icon: https:...

Would it make sense to have the Image Sketcher Trimming tool double as a delete tool?

You can see that at the end, I am left with a line that I need to delete, but I need to terminate the trimming tool first.

Re: What is a "body"?

So with the 0.17 version, the workflow has decisively changed. Yes. So, if one plan to use massively sketches, chamfer, fillet, etc, then is better to start with "basic" solids provided by the Part Design workbench. Yes. @bejant:thanks I like also your second approach made by using sketches from th...

the poor pet is still on 3 legs

It would be better to fix the model, but thinking of the dog I decided to use a quick but sloppy band-aid.

Re: What is a "body"?

I would have created your model this way. 20180616-017-deleteme-redo.fcstd (And I don't like to use Links To External Geometry.) OS: Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS Word size of OS: 32-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 32-bit Version: 0.17.13522 (Git) Build type: None Branch: releases/FreeCAD-0-17 Hash: 3bb5ff4e70c0c526...

Re: What is a "body"?

I don't know how to fix your model. If you're going to use Part Design, it's best to stay in Part Design and use the tools available in that Workbench. Try this work flow instead: Open FreeCAD and do File > New or Ctrl + N. Instead of using a Part WB > Cube, click the Part Design > Additive Cube ico...
