Re: Laptop Specification

I'm firstly wondering if its base specification is worth updating to run FreeCAD or if I need to invest in a professional CAD Laptop? I'm running an AMD A9 processor with 8mb of RAM and a AMD Radeon R5 Graphics adaptor. Hi Dreadnought, and welcome! My suggestion is: don't buy a new laptop just to l...

I hope someone will tell me what I am missing here!
Tony, next time don't wait so long to ask for help here. Replies usually happen quickly, look at the time stamp of your first post and those of the first few replies....

You're very welcome!

You may want to use 0.19 too; it's very much improved over 0.18. You can have both 0.18 and 0.19 installed on your system at the same time.

Re: Orbit cube spinning all the time

PS: It is a little bit annoying "you must unplug this device to work". Hi Nick, and welcome! I guess it's a calibration problem. Nick, in other words, at rest your joystick is sill sending an input signal to your computer. FreeCAD isn't to blame for this problem; instead it's the joystick.

Re: FreeCAD 0.18: Sketcher - No "Elements"-Selection Field

Assuming your External Geometry aren't only Points, in the Elements widget shown in your image try changing Type from Start Point to something else, but not End Point . Also try ticking the German equivalent of "Extended Naming" to True. This will label the Element in the list as "Ex...

Re: novel coronavirus, COVID-19

Thank you; I guess that I was tested as I was getting past the virus so I expect to be out of isolation in a few more days. From what I understand, the end of my isolation is time based upon no longer having symptoms, and so I don't think that I will be tested again. Je vous remercie; Je suppose que...

Re: Modeling Question

The plastic tore out around the mounting screw? Would you consider using what we call in the United States a "fender washer" to bridge the torn hole instead?
