Re: Sweeping a sketch across a body

Sketches should have CLOSED perimeters. I deleted stray lines and put perimeters around your main pockets and it works. I did not have time to put the contraints in for you.

Re: instant crash when trying to chamfer or fillet

The maximum value for a fillet/chamfer is 0.1 mm. I confirm the program crashes with a larger value. This problem is known, there are a lot of threads about that in this forum Schermafdruk van 2019-05-19 09-46-12.png How do you enter a number? I only know how to activate the chamfer or fillet comma...

instant crash when trying to chamfer or fillet

I get an instant crash when I try to chamfer or fillet in my part. See highlighted edge for the problem location: Screen Shot 2019-05-19 at 12.02.59 AM.jpeg I may be asking FCAD to fillet in an area where it cannot, but it should not crash like this. I'm not really familiar on how to report bugs. Th...

I said that:
You can do these letters in 3D printing to do a test in real , you could do so even word by word to make an economic test
Take a test is doing 1 or 2 pieces of concrete :!:
Yes. Please post a photo when you use 3D printing and concrete. This is interesting.

Re: pad problem

You might want to update to the latest version here: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/download/0.18/FreeCAD-0.18.16093.690774c-WIN-x64-RC4-installer.exe and then watch some basic tutorial videos on the Part Design Work Bench. Found it :) You can not have two sections CLOSED loft. It overlaps over itself and makes 0 thickness solid.2sectionsClosedLoft.jpg

Thank you Kisolre! That's it. Too many little settings on commands that I do not know (yet). :D

Re: oblique cone loft has a 'crack' in it but making it from Part WB does not?

Your FreeCAD version is very outdated. Please retry with the current 0.18. Here it works out of the box. I downloaded the latest osx version on my mac at home and it still has the same issue as described above. I will download the latest win version tomorrow and see if it makes a difference. thanks...

In your next model you should go the other way round: Use a spreadsheet for your expressions and use them in the model. That way you can include the documentation in the file.
Yes, chrisB, that is why I’m new at this. In my first post at the top, that’s what I realized. 😉
