Re: OCE 0.18 -> OCCT 7.4.0: Crap ton of namespace issues

Thanks! I installed these RPMS in Fedora 31 running under VirtualBox. I Could compile and start FreeCAD 0.19 (latest from GitHub).

Since git commit a7d9661b1d FreeCAD failed to compile with OCE on Fedora because Standard_Handle.hxx was missing. Installing OCCT fixed the issue for me.

Re: OCE 0.18 -> OCCT 7.4.0: Crap ton of namespace issues

Are there any pre-compiled RPMS for OCCT? I would like to try them with Fedora 31.

Re: Create inner path for letters?

Hi! I'm trying to create path for letters (it's gonna be a gcode file for plasma cutter). But the problem is that I can't create Contour for inner closed shapes. I read through the whole thread and there is so much confusion. I assume you want to create letter- shapes out of flat material. Contour ...

Re: Merge Profile Tools

I agree with sliptonic. The profile is based on what's selected, so there should not be a conflict. If you are looking into it there is a feature request (IMHO valuable) - handle open paths! I want to be able to select one of more edges and create a tool path even when the esges do not form a closed...

Re: Fail compile on Fedora 28

I don't know Fedora, or their release schedules, but my impression is that 28 is very outdated anyway. I don't know when you are supposed to update. For example, in Ubuntu each long term version is released every two years, so staying with a version for two years is perfectly fine. Fedora 28 was re...

Re: Fail compile on Fedora 28

Thanks @vocx. I vote to drop Qt4 support for the reason to focus on the needs of the vast majority of users and to safe developer's spare time. Would that also mean enforcing Python3 and PySide2? That would force me to upgrade from Fedora 28 (no pyside2). I will try Fedora 30 on VirtualBox first. An...

Re: Bug in transactions? after the big merge

Might be related (new Sketcher bug). Values entered in the expression editor are ignored by the sketcher when editing the sketch! I can enter an expression, the values gets updated in the editor, pressing OK does not update the sketch. The sketch gets updated only after I close the sketch editor. Un...

Part Design draft angle does not accept units

I tried to get the graft angle from an expression with unit '10 deg'. The dialog accepted the units but when I confirmed with "OK" I got an unexpected error message "std::bad_cast". err1.png Then I tried to do that using the property panel and got the explanation, units are not expected here! err2.p...
