Re: Unable to apply part 3d offset to part compound
I expected the part offset to automatically apply to every element in the compound. Compounds are just lists of different objects to which you can mass-apply a transformation, right? I'm trying to apply kerf compensation with part 3d offset for a lasercutting project. Applying a part 3d offset to a ...

Unable to apply part 3d offset to part compound
Here's the problem: Applying a part 3d offset to a compound produces the following error message: https://i.postimg.cc/dQJfKR2B/image.png This is with the following model tree: https://i.postimg.cc/hjX1SjGK/image.png The operation fails whenever there is more than 1 body/part in the compound. The co...

Re: Link Array: How to reset the Visibility List?
This took me a while to figure out but the solution is simple: Select the array with the invisible elements in the model view tree. Enable Expand Array in the data/property tab. You will now see the individual array elements in the model view tree. You can hide/show them individually. I suggest you ...

Re: Bug #3498: Preference categories not showing up if specific workbench has not been visited
Xunie, of course we all appreciate a nice UI for the preferences dialog. And noone objects that it would be nice to optimize things here. However, it works pretty well - though not perfect - the way it is. And it is nothing you have to change multiple times while building a model. Improving it the ...

It still is inconsistent behavior
The fridge has no light switch for your car, [...] Well, apparently we do have light switches in our fridges because the settings window aren't two separate objects (car/fridge) but a single object: a settings window. But put it however you want. Showing different content IN THE SAME WINDOW because...

Re: Bug #3498: Preference categories not showing up if specific workbench has not been visited
Thanks for creating the thread, Kunda. I forgot to do that. Like I've said in the issue: I'll argue that even if intended, this is a bug as it does not conform to the mental model the user . Hiding things due to some internal state of the program is bad design and apparently leads to enough confusio...

Re: Need help confirming bugs.
Yeah, I couldn't add the information because I made the post thinking I could edit it minutes later. (I'm sure it wasn't until I was asleep that my post was finally approved so that I could edit it.) I can't seem to reproduce the bug consistently. I think I'll manage to work around it until someone ...

Need help confirming bugs.
Whenever I'm working on anything, I see that the model tree starts acting weirdly. Sometimes I've got duplicates of the same item in there. And if I mark the one visible, the other (copy?) is marked visible as well in the model tree. Sometimes dragging the "copy" up to the project root nod...
