Re: Dill holes not on drawing

Here's an example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3hzop4i1gntwutk/RE-Rohr-2.fcstd1?dl=0 You posted a .fcstd1 file, this is a backup file automatically generated when you save your document. The .fcstd1 is the saved prior state of your document, so it is not the last version and is possibly missing stuff...

Re: Anyone interested in donating their time to make a clubfoot brace?

Some time ago Tarek Loubani https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarek_Loubani initiated the development of a low-cost stethoscope using 3d printers Damn! That guy finds himself in the hot of things. I remember reading about his appalling experience this spring in the news. (See his wikipedia page) Didn't...

Re: disjunct pockets and linear pattern

I wonder if some bug crept up with 5c3f7bf8 . I just tested the file with FC 0.17.13509, which is before the aforementioned commit was merged. I get the same issue with the pattern and pocket set to "To first", but there is no error message on the Pocket after recomputing the document, so the commi...

Re: disjunct pockets and linear pattern

If you mark the document for recompute and refresh, the DisplayMountHoles pocket fails with the error Pocket: Result has multiple solids. This is not supported at this time . I wonder if some bug crept up with 5c3f7bf8 . ping If I switch Pocket (DisplayMountHoles) into "Dimension" mode, the pattern ...

Re: FreeCAD graphic user interface layout problem

Since I've been using Ubuntu Linux at home, that's one of the things I've always liked: system fonts are BIG by default. Something like 10, maybe even 11 points. Icons are big too. When I go back to work on Windows, ugh. System fonts are like 8 points if not smaller. Even on a 24-inch 1080p display,...

Re: PD-Draft Angle arc-tan atan() Expression Bug -- "Unit mismatch between ..."

Another point of interest here is how the draft angle field is different from other angle fields. (Herein perhaps lies the bug, if there is one. Well, maybe there is? Try your formula in the part design cylinder angle field. It'll eat it all and lick the plate afterwards. It likes degs. Nice doggie...

Re: Sweep error

I also do some "rubbish" to the end of a design process, can you check it? It is only way which I come up with. I don't understand what you were trying to do with the XOR operation. There is no wiki documentation for this tool yet, and even if I'm quite experienced with FreeCAD, I still have no clu...

Re: Error on a Pocket while changing the thickness of the original Pad

So the main issue is I should not be attaching sketches to other faces of my model, but rather always attach to a plane and move parts into place? Apart from the last part of the sentence, that's about it. Not sure what you mean by "move parts into place". When your sketch needs to be offset/rotate...

Re: Merging of my Link branch

When I read an earlier comment complaining that merging this may delay the next stable release I was not complaining. I was stating a fact. assemblies in general are critical I do agree that assemblies are very important but man, are we seeing melodramatics in this topic (and I do realize th...
