FreeCAD Error: "libstlvis.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Hi,

I installed the latest FreeCAD via conda (see https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Python_ ... linux64.29)

When I try to open a document, I get this error:

Code: Select all

libstlvis.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Has anybody a idea whats wrong?

Thanks!

Re: Iterate over Mesh Groups

Thank you!

I thought mesh groups are implicitly created for FE boundary conditions. Can you tell me in which function/file the mesh groups for boundary conditions are being created when running GmshTools? Because in this class the mesh groups are present...

Code: Select all

>>> analysis = App.ActiveDocument.Analysis
>>> mesh = analysis.getObject("FEMMeshGmsh")
>>> mesh.MeshGroupList
[]
Thanks!

write INP input file from python console

Hi, I'm relatively new to FreeCAD and trying to script various FEM analyses. I have created a part (e.g. a 3D beam) and change its dimensions (length, width, height) via a spreadsheet. Changing the dimensions and recomputing (and updating the mesh automatically) works fine, but I'm unable to write t...
