Re: Selecting all faces on a plane of an STL->mesh item for adaptive clearing

chrisb, Thanks for pointing me towards the "refine mesh" tool and thank you for your patience with this rank amateur. My machine is chugging away on that refine operation right now. I realize that my problem seems like an XY Problem , but this maze is only the beginning. I am just trying to get it ...

Re: Profiling inside several pockets - toolpath could be shorter

... Aah, the key is multiple horizontal faces. Thanks for the info. As follow-up, this property does thrown an error in this file when set to `Individually` with the set of vertical faces selected. The reason being because each individual face has no horizontal cross-section with which to work; the...

Re: Profiling inside several pockets - toolpath could be shorter

... Went into Profile operation setup dialog, selected bottom faces of the pockets, and got exactly the same toolpath as before. It alternates between the two pockets instead of finishing one first and then going into the second one. I tried your approach on this model as well, and it did not work....

Re: Profiling inside several pockets - toolpath could be shorter

... When profiling inner contours of a part containing several pockets, the toolpath appears to be jumping between the pockets on every depth level. This is unlike pocketing operation, which makes a tool to finish each pocket all the way down to its bottom before starting on the next one. So the pr...

Hi folks,
can anyone fill out documentation for: (which also includes UI images)
...Path_Pocket_3D...
Just added a little to Path_Pocket_3D. The additions include a sample image.

Time to mow the yard.

Re: Documentation for Path_MillFace

Have worked on it a little. Just improved the description and added a sample image. I will try to get the usage section populated with some simple instructions and add property lists when I get more time.

If someone beats me to it, great!

Re: Strange behavior of 3D Surface Op

Afternoon. No problem. I created a similar file. I was able to reproduce the bug. The bug appears to be related to the `Optimize Step Over Transitions` feature. Also, I notice an oddity - the paths are without error when the Step Over is a multiple of 25%. You mentioned things are okay at 50 and 100...
