Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

... the DOF Labels seem to overlap each other quite often. The labels attach to the center of the boundingbox of each part. In your example, these points are all close together and therefore the labels overlap. Doing bigger assemblies (>50 parts), the labels usually are more distributed and they he...

BTW. the DOF Labels seem to overlap each other quite often.
Getting unusable :-(

Just some short question:
Why don't you make the two DOF icons (On+Off) and the two Part Labels icons (On+Off) each a single-click-switch one?
This would cleanup the WB's toolbar and may still be easily to understand.

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

...The newly released FC0.18 stable does not provide a build number and breaks the FC version check of A2plus. Starting A2plus, an error "list index out of range" is thrown. This is fixed with version V0.4.12. Please update your A2plus WB. Hi Klaus, many thanks for your continued valuable...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi, now I got it. Thank you! There remains a question, that is most probably wrong here :D : If the kind of cut I made is wrong and the result not allowed, why is it not prevented by FreeCAD, even if FreeCAD detects the error? Or is there a reasonable use case for the wrong way? For me it would be ...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi guys, at the moment I'm not quite safe enough in understanding Klaus' workaround code parts in his reworked color handling. So my post related to the artefacts only reflects some early ideas. I hope to find into code, too, by saturday. You can freely contact me for any testing orders! @Walter: W...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

This shouldn't sound offensive, I just don't get the point ATM... :-( Don't worry Yes I mean the red one from A2Plus O.k. or not o.k., that's the question: For me, these your mentioned steps are exclusive on here: * pick the made constraint in tree-view: able to view associated parts by clicking ma...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi Walter and Klaus, I've furtherly tried to debug the transparency issue with added message output at critical points. For the current A2p code ALL color transactions are safe, themselves: In topomapper, MuxAssembly and importPart. Regarding the proof, that they all ship correct values from the ca...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

I don't get the magnifying glass available until the constraint is picked in the tree view. And then toggleTransparency isn't selectable for me until this constraint observation has ended. (openSUSE-Tumbleweed on here.) Just to be sure we're saying the same thing: If I select a constrain and then I...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi, can't remember what was before v0.4.5; but now, if I select the magnifying glass to look over a constrain, the only way to restore opacity to whole assembly, I have to perform: 1 - magnifying glass (start) 2 - show only selected items (apply) 3 - toggles transparency (apply) 4 - show only selec...
